Due to the evolving situation in Israel, easyJet has taken the decision to temporarily suspend its operations to and from Tel Aviv until April 21
,” the airline announced in a statement on Monday.
“The safety and security of our passengers and crew are always Easyjet’s top priority,”
the company added, specifying that it had contacted customers on flights affected by these cancellations by SMS and email.
Easyjet had already canceled several flights to Israel on Sunday, including a rotation between London Luton airport and Tel Aviv, a company spokesperson told AFP.
The German airline Lufthansa also announced on Sunday the suspension until Monday inclusive of its flights to and from Tel Aviv as well as Erbil in Iraq and Amman in Jordan,
“in the context of the current situation”.
