For the application of the new mobility formula for retirements and pensions, the ANSeS reported that it will split the April settlement into two payments. The first will be the credit and in a second part, in the same month, the increase for pension mobility and the bonus of 70 thousand pesos will be paid.
"This recent modification of mobility and its consequent advances will generate a doubling of the benefit payment, in order not to delay the beneficiaries' access to their assets," reported the pension agency.
And he concluded: "Consequently, there will be a first settlement corresponding to the March 2024 credit and a second settlement, within the same month of April, corresponding to the increase for pension mobility and the pension reinforcement of 70 thousand pesos."
The ANSeS announcement occurs "within the framework of Decree 274/2024", with which "the national government made official the new mobility formula for retirements and pensions, by which
from July they will be updated monthly
in accordance with the variations of the general level of the Consumer Price Index (CPI), with national coverage, published by the National Institute of Statistics and Censuses (INDEC)". "That is, in July the salaries will be updated based on the CPI for May; in August, the CPI for June; and so on," they stated as an introduction to the pension organization.
The split aims to address "the transition from one formula to the other." And this is how they officially explain it.
"In April, retirees and pensioners will receive an extraordinary increase of 12.5 percent to partially compensate for the losses caused by the inflationary process of the last year. Likewise, 13.24 percent corresponding to the February CPI will be added on account of the mobility to be paid in June 2024. For all these reasons, the minimum retirement for April will be 171,283.31 pesos. To that amount will be added the payment of a bonus of 70 thousand pesos. Consequently, the minimum retirement in the month of April will reach a total of 241,283.31 pesos," they detailed.
In turn, "in May, an advance on mobility corresponding to June will be applied, according to the new formula (with March CPI); and, in June, an increase calculated according to the new formula (April CPI)." "In no case can the application of the index reduce the income received by retirees and pensioners," they noted.
For June "the increase provided by the previous Mobility Law (Law 27,609) was greater than what
was accumulated in these three months of connection
, ANSeS will pay the corresponding difference."
The organization has not yet set dates, but promised that "
the schedules for the payment of the increase and the bonus
will be reported soon ."
