Jade Ponchet, a brilliant student, is now multi-handicapped after a serious jet-ski accident in Guadeloupe. The image, indelible and unbearable, has haunted her father every day since that disastrous August 5, 2022.
Jean-Marie Ponchet trembles with emotion as he recalls those few seconds which turned his life as a father upside down, and stole the future of his beloved daughter. "I see the jet- ski heading straight towards Jade and hitting her head-on, I see her expelled like a star and falling inert into the water," he says.
