The idyllic setting of Souffleur beach, in Port-Louis in Guadeloupe, where Jade and her father, originally from Bordeaux (Gironde) spend a week of vacation, then turns into hell. Brought back to the shore, the brilliant 20-year-old student lies on the sand, lifeless, with a trickle of blood flowing from her temple.
