The 20-year-old plays for the club's U21s and has played his part in ensuring that coach Kristijan Glibo's team has a strong season as promoted to the Regionalliga Südwest. The defender started playing football at FSV Friedrichsdorf before moving to DJK Bad Homburg. Kolbe scored one goal and assisted three more goals in 16 league games.
