United Airlines Flight 85 that left Tel Aviv on Friday at 07:00 (US time) was supposed to land at Liberty Port in New Jersey, and landed instead at Stewart International Airport in Orange County, New York. Strong winds caused the original landing site to be changed.

One passenger suffered a "medical incident", and several others were slightly injured, the airline said. The FAA, the US Federal Aviation Authority, is investigating the incident. The Boeing 737, which was carrying more than 300 passengers, refueled at the alternate airport and then completed its journey to the original destination.
