There may be a gap between how you see your child, and how you imagine him or want him to be. The child must be instilled with the ability to set realistic expectations of himself and reinforce him when he meets these expectations.

Don't wait until the end of the day to reinforce your child's positive behavior from noon. Strengthen him at every opportunity when he demonstrates responsibility, independence, shares feelings and more. Listen to the child, even when he is silent. Your active observation will encourage dialogue and create positive communication with him for years to come.
