In January 2023, the brother of the Princess of Wales announced the death of his cocker Spaniel Ella, aged 15, who was the reason for the meeting with his fiancée. The young dad today seems free of his demons and is fully enjoying his new life with his family. He even joked about his paternity by sharing a photo of one of his golden retrievers visibly exhausted. He has six dogs: Mabel, Zulu, Inka, Luna, Nala and Isla. He was diagnosed with clinical depression in May 2020, but is now free of the demons and enjoying the most normal life of a young dad, he said. The prince's older sister, Kate Middleton, was recently diagnosed with cancer and died in July 2023. She is now in a hospice in London.
