After a year turned upside down by the birth of his son Inigo, the announcement of his older sister Kate Middleton's cancer and the loss of one of his dogs, James Middleton celebrated his 37th birthday this Monday, April 15, 2024. The very first in as a young father.
And for the occasion, Prince William's brother-in-law posted an adorable selfie of him and his son, wearing matching navy blue berets and the six-month-old baby's face carefully hidden behind a white heart. “Matching berets to celebrate my birthday. Surrounded by my family, my friends and of course my dogs,” he wrote on Instagram.
In addition to their little boy born in the fall of 2023, James Middleton and his partner, the Frenchwoman Alizée Thévenet, are indeed the happy owners of six dogs: Mabel, Zulu, Inka, Luna, Nala and Isla. In January 2023, the brother of the Princess of Wales announced the death of his cocker Spaniel Ella, aged 15, who was the reason for the meeting with his fiancée. “I was lost, and Ella found Alizée. Together, they saved me. “Ella guided me to my soul mate, my everything,” he said on Valentine’s Day.
A happy young dad
Diagnosed in May 2020 with clinical depression, the young dad today seems free of his demons and is fully enjoying his new life with his family. Adventurous holidays based on cross-country skiing or walks on the beach with his dogs... Since the birth of Inigo, James Middleton seems to be a totally fulfilled young dad.
On April 3, he even joked about his paternity by sharing a photo of one of his golden retrievers visibly exhausted. “My head when I'm woken up by my six-month-old son at four in the morning,” he wrote. The most normal life of a young dad!
