As of May 1st, fresh milk in a carton will become more expensive to the price of 7.11 NIS. A kilo of emek cheese will increase to 51.15 NIS compared to 48.95 NIS today.
The Ministry of Agriculture stated that an update to the prices of dairy products will come into effect on May 1, 2024. Since it is a 0.6% increase in raw milk, which is used to produce delicacies, cheeses and milk that are not regulated, it is expected that the manufacturers, including Tnuva, Strauss and Terra, will soon announce the increase in the price. The price calculations are reviewed according to fixed formulas every six months to a year within an automatic mechanism that does not require the signature of ministers. The current component was affected by the increases in the consumer price index ( 1.5%), in the wage index (2.7%) and in thePrice of raw milk (0.6%). The price of milk and eggs will be increased by an average rate of 4.48% after Passover.
