Eyal Golan received a certificate of appreciation from the Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, MK Nissim Vettori. The award provoked great anger among many musicians who volunteered and performed and did not receive any certificate.
The musician Amir Ben David, a member of the "Prototype" band, was outraged by the decision to award the certificate of appreciation only to Eyal Golan. Golan wrote on his Instagram account: "It is important for me to write towrite to you" The certificate is signed by MK Vatori and not by the Knesset of Israel, according to MK Varti. The certificate was presented to Golan during a broadcast on Radio Jerusalem when he was a guest on Yaron Ilan's show to talk about his new album "Am Yisrael Chai" and presented him with the certificate. MK Vantori also clarified on the broadcast that the award is "in the name of the Knesset of Israel" even though the Kneset is not Signed it but only himself.
