It should be emphasized that until now, all news channels except 14 were open for the prisoners to watch, and now the boycott of channel 14 has been lifted. According to the Shavas procedures, criminal prisoners (security guards are prohibited from watching television) are entitled to watch ten channels subject to the decision. The prison service stated in response that "the organization operates in accordance with the procedure that requires the broadcasting of the four Israeli news channels in the criminal prisons" and that the implementation process has been completed these days. It is not clear if the prison service will continue to broadcast the news channels, or if they will be replaced by a different channel for the rest of the prison's life.
