In the prison service, it was decided to add channel 14 to the package of television channels for the criminal prisoners, the organization confirmed earlier today (Tuesday) to the newspaper "Haaretz". The Shavas attributed the change to "an update of the organization's procedures that are currently being implemented in the prisons, and are not exposed to the public for intelligence reasons"

According to the Shavas procedures, criminal prisoners (security guards are prohibited from watching television) are entitled to watch ten channels subject to the Shavas decision, including the "basic channels" here 11, 12, 13 as well as two movie channels, two sports channels and language channels .
The prison service stated in response that "the organization operates in accordance with the procedure that requires the broadcasting of the four Israeli news channels in the criminal prisons and whose implementation process has been completed these days."
A Shavas official claimed that "News channel 14 was added to the viewing basket and did not come to replace any other channel. The Acting Commissioner of Prisons assumed that whenever another channel was removed from the viewing basket, it should be put back on the site and for the welfare of the prisoners."
