The singer Moshe Detz took the stage tonight, for the first time since the tragic death of his son Omer about two and a half weeks ago as a result of an epileptic attack. Omer Detz, who served in the Air Force Band, participated in the first season of the reality show "The Next Star" - from where his performance of the song "If You Still Love Me" is especially remembered. Epilepsy is a chronic neurological disease, resulting from abnormal electrical activity of the brain cells. The disease can appear in any person, at any age, and its causes are many and varied: from congenital developmental defects of the brain and genetic diseases, through cerebrovascular events or significant head trauma, to infection or inflammation of the nervous system. However, in half of the cases the cause of the disease is not known at all.
