An extremely rare celestial phenomenon that arouses a lot of excitement. This Monday, April 8, a total solar eclipse is visible from parts of Mexico, the United States and Canada. It is visible from a 185 km wide diagonal stretching from western Mexico to eastern Canada.
Around 44 million people are lucky enough to be able to observe with their own eyes the Moon slipping in front of the Sun to hide it and thus be plunged into darkness. Those in France will not have the chance to attend the show but it is possible to follow it live on the Internet, thanks to NASA. The American Space Agency is broadcasting the total solar eclipse live on its YouTube channel from 7 p.m. Paris time, using a telescope.
“The telescope broadcast will include images from several locations and will be modified depending on weather conditions, the progress of the eclipse and the availability of the broadcast,” NASA said in a press release.
