A 14-year-old boy named Yuval, a member of a former Israeli family living in Germany, appeared as part of the auditions for the local version of "The Voice Kids". And he didn't just appear, he performed a song in Hebrew: "Yasmin" by the Blue Elephant band, or as written on the program's official YouTube page: "Yovel sings a beautiful love song".
As you remember, in the blind auditions of "The Voice", the contestants perform the songs in front of the judges' chairs. In this way, the judges examine the performance based on the voice alone, without relying on the appearance of the performer and any prejudices. In this case, of the five judges (two of them sitting in pairs) three turned around. Watch above the performance, the reaction of the judges as well as the reaction of Yuval's family, who is standing with the host backstage.
The song that Yuval sings, "Jasmin", was released in 2009 as the third single from the Blue Elephant band's debut album, "Ma'al Hamim". Yasmin was the girlfriend of Liron Atia, one of the band's vocalists. He wrote the song together with Daniel Barkat, his cousin, a member of the band. The song was a great success and spent 13 weeks in the Galgalat's parade, of which four weeks in first place, and finished third in the station's annual parade that year.
