Heavily intoxicated, he was refused a cigarette and decided to take revenge. A 58-year-old man was sentenced Monday by the Lorient court to three years in prison, half of which was suspended, for driving his vehicle Friday evening in Etel (Morbihan) into a bar-restaurant from which he had just been pushed back, causing eleven minor injuries. Among these eleven injured, six benefited from an ITT lasting from one to six days, we learned at the hearing.
Kept in detention following the hearing, the man, a restaurateur by profession in the region, was tried in immediate appearance. He was also imposed an obligation of care and a ban on appearing in Etel for five years. The fifty-year-old was notably prosecuted for violence with the use of a weapon, namely a weapon by destination, its utility.
“Scare but above all don’t hurt anyone”
Earlier on Friday, he had been drinking after arguing with his son. At the time of his arrest, he had a blood alcohol level of 2 g/litre. In this bar where he was unknown, he asked the bar manager for a cigarette, who refused it to him. After an exchange of blows, the fifty-year-old, leaving, felt “humiliated” and sought revenge, he explained at the hearing.
The defendant, whose depressive state could be explained in particular by the sectarian influence from which his adult daughter suffered, explained that he had wanted to “accelerate, slow down and break his window (of the establishment,

). Scare but above all don’t hurt anyone,” he said. The court followed the prosecutor's requisitions. The defendant was arrested shortly after the incident.
