After the discoveries, at the end of March, of part of Émile's skull and clothes that the child was wearing on the day of his disappearance, field investigations continue. And they prove fruitful. According to our information, new bones belonging to the two and a half year old child were found in recent days by the gendarmes from the Marseille research section within the search area.
Their analysis is still underway by experts from the Criminal Research Institute of the National Gendarmerie (IRCGN) at their premises in Pontoise (Val-d'Oise). At this stage, the results still do not allow us to decide whether it was a solitary accident involving the child or a murder. “The research is progressing well and is still continuing,” says a source close to the investigation. It is unknown, at this stage, whether or not the entire remainder of Émile's skeleton has been brought to light by these new excavations. But the IRCGN experts left Haut-Vernet between Saturday and Sunday, believing that they had reached the end of what they could achieve on the ground.
