When changing, the tires should be checked for damage and sufficient tread depth. After assembly, the air pressure check needs to be carried out. But: How much cash do you have to put in?
Some have their seasonal tire changes done by professionals, others prefer to do it themselves. There are a few things to keep in mind so that when you change your tires yourself, neither the car nor people are damaged. After installation, the work is not yet done: the removed tires must be stored correctly. And with the freshly mounted tires, the first trip should always be to the gas station to fill up the appropriate air pressure.
Tire pressure in the car: where is the information located?
But how much bar does the tire need to contain? The air pressure is specified by the car manufacturer - it can be read in different places - but the placement is not the same for every model:
Many vehicles have a sticker on the
B-pillar
with the air pressure data
On other cars, the sticker may be located on the
inside of the gas cap
The tire pressure specifications are definitely contained
in the vehicle's
operating instructions
You can also access
tire pressure tables
from manufacturers on the Internet

Extra check before your holiday trip: When the vehicle is fully loaded, the air pressure in the tires must be increased
Important: The tire pressure always depends on the load of the vehicle. Especially before vacation trips, where the car is usually packed full, you should check it again before setting off. When fully loaded, the tires must have higher pressure. If there is too little air in the tire, the driving characteristics deteriorate - this can even result in a tire blowing out at full speed. Too low a pressure is not only dangerous, but also leads to increased wear and increased consumption. So checking your tire pressure regularly - the
ADAC
recommends every two weeks - is also worthwhile from a financial perspective.

Check the air pressure regularly – don’t forget a spare tire
For little money you can also buy a tire pressure gauge for your home garage. For example, you can quickly check if the tire pressure monitoring system (mandatory in all new cars since 2014) sounds an alarm. Otherwise it goes to the compressor at the gas station. All four tires should always be checked for the correct air pressure - and also the spare wheel. It should be noted that temperature affects pressure. Therefore, the tire pressure should be measured before starting or only after a short journey, as otherwise the tire will heat up and the measuring device may show a pressure that is too high.
