A completely dirty interior, mold on the seats and belts.
An Opel was brought to a car detailing facility in this condition.
The video horrifies TikTok users.
When it comes to car care, there are two sides: One spends hours washing and maintaining the car by hand.
For example as part of spring cleaning.
But be careful: cleaning up your driveway at home can be very expensive.
The other waits as long as possible until it goes to the car wash.
The interior is sometimes neglected and this can have dramatic consequences, as a video from Lola car preparation shows.
Opel completely moldy: TikTok video shows preparation
In the 48-second TikTok clip you can see a completely dirty Opel.
The following question is asked: “What would you charge for this preparation?” A completely justified question, as you quickly see when you watch the video: There is mold everywhere in the car.
No matter whether on the seats, seat belts or in the trunk.

But with the appropriate cleaning products and equipment, the mold can be dealt with.
The seats and belts then look almost like new again.
But the rest of the interior also needs to be cleaned properly.
Every little crack is cleaned with brushes and matches.
Schimmel-Opel shocks TikTok users: “I would refuse!”
But will the car really be completely clean?
“The mold is also in the ventilation and you can’t get it out,” objects one user.
The answer follows in a second video.
The mold is dealt with using steam.
The customer was also recommended to have the cabin filter changed.

But back to the original question.
How much should you charge for the cleaning and preparation of such a vehicle?
TikTok users have very different opinions on this.
And the condition of the Opel also causes a lot of surprise:
"Personal injury compensation"
“1,200 euros are justified!”
“€10 for gas and matches!”
“The expense exceeds the value of the vehicle.”
“The longer I watched the video, the more expensive it became!”
“I would refuse!”
“Are you a crime scene cleaner by profession?”
“How can a car get so moldy?”
A Reddit thread also shows that the Opel is not an isolated case.
A user posted a Nissan that was completely full of rubbish and was dropped off at his workshop.
And a woman from the state of Wyoming also brought her car in for repairs without first clearing out the trash from inside.
