Given the wonderful weather, Munich is a particularly attractive destination these days. The Götze family probably thought that too.
Munich – Munich is celebrating spring – or with this weather even summer? Temperatures well over 20 degrees Celsius are of course easy to endure in the Bavarian capital at the beginning of April. A prominent family also made the most of the wonderful conditions: the Götzes!

Soccer star Mario and his model wife Ann-Kathrin were in Munich on Sunday and Monday (April 7th and 8th), and their followers were well informed via Instagram. Ann-Kathrin posted a story on Sunday with the message “Our home away from home” and tagged the Munich luxury hotel Mandarin Oriental.
“The Second Home” was the starting point for many a discovery tour of the city where Mario played football from 2013 to 2016. During this time, the FC Bayern midfielder also became Germany's World Cup hero: in 2014 he scored the golden 1-0 in the World Cup final against Argentina. A big piece of German sports history.

Now the Götzes were once again guests in Munich. And there mom and dad showed the children Rome (3) and Gioia (six months) a few nice corners. Ann-Kathrin Götze's Instagram stories show that Rome and Papa Mario played soccer together at the playground on Hochbrückenstrasse.
The next day we went to the Eisbachwelle, one of the most popular hotspots in Munich - little Rome watched the surfers enthusiastically. Did the other onlookers on the other bank recognize the Bundesliga star and his family?

Mario Götze and Eintracht Frankfurt are required in the Bundesliga
After the trip, the Götzes went back to their first home - after all, Mario is back in training at Eintracht Frankfurt. The recent 1-1 draw against Werder Bremen caused frustration in the SGE camp. The big goal of the Europa League is still more than realistic as sixth in the table with a six point lead over the competition. There are still six games left to play this season - the first of which is next Saturday at VfB Stuttgart. Then Mario Götze heads south again from Frankfurt.
