Who will be the new coach at FC Bayern? Julian Nagelsmann is said to be the top candidate to succeed Tuchel. Sky expert Dietmar Hamann already seems to know more.
Munich – FC Bayern is sliding deeper and deeper into the crisis. On Saturday, the German record champions suffered their next defeat with a 3-2 defeat at newly promoted Heidenheim. A new coach could help, but probably not until the new season. The topic was of course in focus around the game, friends' statements give an idea of an initial tendency. Sky expert Dietmar Hamann then even amazed people with his insider knowledge.
Tuchel has to go – FC Bayern is looking for a coach
By summer at the latest, Thomas Tuchel's days on Säbener Straße will be numbered. FC Bayern is therefore feverishly looking for a successor to the outgoing coach.
“We are in discussions. It's a very important personality and it's our big goal to find a coach for the coming years," said sports director Christoph Freund on Sky before the game in Heidenheim about the coach search. “I am convinced that we will find this coach where we are in the same boat where we feel like we have made the right decision. There are some aspects to discuss and it is important that we take this time.”

Nagelsmann is probably the top favorite to succeed Tuchel at FC Bayern
Now that Xabi Alonso will stay at Leverkusen, Julian Nagelsmann has emerged as the top favorite. The conversation then turned to the current national coach, who coached FC Bayern from summer 2021 to March 2023. Freund didn't want to be seen in the cards, but he also didn't want to rule out a renewed commitment from Nagelsmann, about whom there was a strange faux pas before the Heidenheim game.
“Nice try, I won’t go into individual names. Julian has been there before, it's a special situation. Everyone also knows about Julian’s strengths. It’s important to find the right person where we have a good overall feeling,” explained Freund, who would trust Nagelsmann to succeed Tuchel. “I have a lot of confidence in Julian. But there are also other coaches who I trust. There are some aspects to discuss and then do the right thing.” The Austrian announced a timely decision: “The important thing is to do the right thing, not the quickest thing. But we won't take our time forever. We will make a decision in the coming weeks.”

After the friend interview, Sky expert Dietmar Hamann also joined the coaching discussion at FC Bayern. The former Munich player sees Nagelsmann as the top favorite and even seems to know more.
“From what I hear, that seems to be the most likely solution at the moment,” said Hamann about Nagelsmann returning to Bayern. But that's not enough. According to Hamann, Nagelsmann doesn't seem averse: "From what I hear, he can imagine it very well."
Sky expert Didi Hamann sees “signs of dissolution” at FC Bayern
After the bankruptcy in Heidenheim, Hamann also drew a devastating conclusion about FC Bayern. “The fans don’t complain anymore because they’re not used to anything else. Those were signs of disintegration today. If you get one on Tuesday, then you have to be careful that the entire club doesn't dissolve," warned the 50-year-old, with a view to Bayern's Champions League quarter-final against Arsenal on Tuesday.
