This is the loss, your conduct, the lineup, the substitutions." Then Zwartz asked, according to the leaks: "Isn't Weissman better than Tai Bribo?", and Benion replied: "Tai is better, Shawn Weissman isn't a man either... Would you agree that one of your employees would curse at you?"

And all of this no longer matters, because the chairman of the association and perhaps also the professional committee - again, according to the leaks as of the time these lines went to press - have already chosen the replacement: Barak Becher. Let's talk for a moment about the professional committee. According to the association's website, these are the 12 members of the committee: Chairman Zoertz, former national team coach Elisha Levy, Moshe Demayo, Itzik Ovadia, Shai Aharon, Kafir Adri, Einav Hazanvald, Alona Barkat, Muhammad Mahagina, Eli Derix, Moran Meiri and Sharon Nissanov. So what did we have here? A national team coach with an impressive record in the league - yes. A decorated former footballer with 27 appearances in the national team (Derix) - yes. Three more footballers with a certain past in the first division - yes. One can ask what the training of all three of them, who have not spent a minute in the national team , to determine who will be the next coach, but let's leave it at that - at least they played professional football. Itzik Ovadia also played football, but not at the levels of the trio mentioned before.
Something important to say: the six names who are not footballers - Zoaretz, Demayo, Barkat, Mahagina, Meiri and Nisanov - have made a difference in their field. These are people who have recorded business success and extensive social activity and have a very respectable and impressive record, and Ovadia and Derricks also present such a fine record.
But in the end, these are businessmen. And what about the businessmen and the coaching of the national team? That is, after 76 years of Israeli sports and football Israeli and the Israeli Football Association - we definitely know the answer to that, but hey, haven't you noticed that it doesn't work?
