A real semi-final for the world flyweight belt (-57 kg) will take place in New Jersey this weekend. The American Erin Blanchfield, 2nd in the UFC, and the French Manon Fiorot, who follows her in the rankings, will offer a duel on the night of Saturday to Sunday at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. The one who manages to tame the other will certainly be in pole position to challenge the Mexican Alexa Grasso for the title.
The two fighters, undefeated in the UFC after 6 fights, should offer a fierce duel to the 17,000 spectators present this night. If Blanchfield, who grew up in New Jersey, is more than at home and serves as the favorite, the native of Nice is confident heading into this evening's main event in Atlantic City.
“Like me, Erin is undefeated in the UFC, which makes it a really interesting match-up. She has a style opposite to mine because she's more of a wrestler, she likes to take the fight to the ground, that's her specialty. It's going to be a fight with a good style opposition, but I don't think she's better than me in wrestling. What I am sure of, however, is that she does not have my standing level,” she commented to AFP.
The evening will be followed from 3 a.m. on
