More than a month after his serious injury against Guingamp and his placement in a coma, Bordeaux striker Alberth Elis came to pay his respects

These are images that will bring balm to the hearts of all Girondins de Bordeaux supporters. After a month of hospitalization and a head trauma that occurred at the end of February during a Ligue 2 match against Guingamp, Alberth Elis returned to the training center this Friday.

Not to make his return to football, the potential of which remains to be confirmed, but to visit his teammates during their last session before the match which will pit them against Paris FC this weekend.

Wrapped up in his down jacket and hat, the Honduran striker seemed in good shape under the eye of the cameras of the club's communications teams who came to immortalize the scene. The smile of the “Pantera”, as he calls himself, never diminished in intensity during this sequence.

At the edge of the Haillan pitch, a guard of honor for the 28-year-old followed the warm greetings of his teammates, some of whom had already come to his bedside during his stay in hospital. “Is this when you get to practice?” Late ? », laughed one of the staff members.

After 4 days in a coma and a month of hospitalization at CHU Pellegrin, which caused great concern among the general public, Alberth Elis was able to return home this week.

According to information from France Bleu Gironde, which these images seem to confirm, the Honduran international would gradually regain his autonomy and a “normal” daily life. He even reportedly took up brisk walking and cycling again. To date, no neurological sequelae have been detected. His rehabilitation continues between his home and a private clinic that he joined in March.
