We are only sure of one thing this Thursday evening: PSG is in the semi-final of the Women's Champions League for the seventh time in its history after its great victory against BK Häcken at the Parc des Princes (3-0) . A stadium that the Parisiennes will undoubtedly return to in the semi-final return against Olympique Lyonnais. But when ? The question arises as the calendars for women's and men's competitions collide at the end of April.
The draw offered OL a first leg at home on April 20. A shock planned at Groupama Stadium while the Lyonnais will play... at the Parc des Princes on April 21 at 9 p.m. in Ligue 1. The following week, PSG Women must therefore host the return match, on April 27 or 28 depending on the planned dates by UEFA. Problem: the men's PSG hosts Le Havre on a new day of the championship (31st day), a meeting not yet fixed by the LFP and the broadcasters.
An attendance record to beat
All parties will therefore have to agree to find a solution and so that the two Parisian teams can benefit from the Parc des Princes. The option of reversing the order of the Champions League semi-final matches would be of no use since the Porte d'Auteuil enclosure was therefore also occupied the previous week.
On paper, the best solution would be to schedule PSG-Le Havre on Friday evening (April 26) and PSG-OL on Sunday evening (April 28). But another problem: Luis Enrique's team is playing another Ligue 1 match in Lorient on April 24 (7 p.m.). So it looks like the men won't be able to play until Saturday. The opposite (PSG-OL women's on Friday and PSG-Le Havre on Sunday) is also a possibility. Which, however, depends on the agreement of the broadcaster (DAZN) of the European Cup.
In any case, it is certain that the Women's Champions League clash will be played at the Park. The final date should be communicated quickly. It was during a PSG-OL, already in the semi-final in 2022, that the spectator record (43,254) for a meeting of women's clubs in France was broken.
