FC Bayern has apparently put out feelers for a defensive gem from FC Barcelona.
The price range in particular seems tempting.
Munich – Time is running out for FC Barcelona.
Young talent Pau Cubarsi only has a contract until 2026 and apparently has an exit clause that is very low by today's standards.
According to media reports, numerous top clubs are already lining up, including FC Bayern.
Cubarsi only made the jump to the professionals in January
The term “La Masia” should now be familiar to most football connoisseurs.
This is the well-known FC Barcelona youth football academy.
The Catalan training center produced great players such as Lionel Messi, Xavi and Gerard Piqué.
But talent has also been forged there recently and has now made the leap into the first team.
Among other things, the highly gifted talent of 17-year-old defender Pau Cubarsi.
It wasn't until January that he was called up to the pros and has since accumulated numerous minutes of play.
Most recently, he even seemed to be in coach Xavi's starting line-up as a central defender.
The prodigy also started from the start in the second leg of the Champions League round of 16 against Naples – alongside Ronald Araújo, in whom FC Bayern are said to be interested.

Cubarsi's steep rise has not gone unnoticed by Europe's top clubs.
Both Manchester City and Arsenal FC are said to have the youngster on their list.
However, the sports newspaper names another interested party, FC Bayern.
The people of Munich should also watch the Barca jewel very closely.
Not surprising: Cubarsi only has a contract with the Catalans that runs until the summer of 2026 and is said to have an exit clause of just ten million euros.
Compared to the otherwise horrendous transfer amounts that are now being put on the table in the football circus, the purchase option seems like a transfer bargain.

An agreement has not yet been reached, according to the report.
