It's a season of superlatives for Lara Gut-Behrami.
Is she suddenly ending her career?
Her father fuels the speculation.
Munich – The Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami has secured early victory in the overall World Cup.
Tenth place in the giant slalom in Saalbach-Hinterglemm was enough for the 32-year-old.
She also won the discipline ranking in the giant slalom - in downhill and super-G, Gut-Behrami can even put together a historic four-pack of balls at the next World Cup.

Lara Gut-Behrami recently announced that she would continue competing in the World Cup for another winter.
“She has not yet exhausted her potential and wants more,” her father told Schweizer

But he is not sure whether his daughter will end her career after all: “But who knows: Maybe she will say tomorrow that she is resigning.”
Her father praised Gut-Behrami highly after winning the overall World Cup.
“She has been in the World Cup for 16 years – and with these results.
That's incredible.
There’s a lot of work, passion and experience behind it,” he said proudly.
When asked whether ending his career was a realistic scenario, Pauli Gut responded with a smile: “You never know.
Maybe she won’t for another week.”

Most recently, statements and decisions were made by the currently best female ski racer in the world that fueled rumors of a quick end to her career.
For example, she will not fly to Argentina to prepare as usual because the bad weather in Tierra del Fuego was causing her problems.

Lara Gut-Behrami has so far won eight medals at World Championships (two gold, three silver and three bronze) and one bronze medal each at the 2014 Olympics in Sochi and the 2022 Olympics in Beijing.
She also became Olympic champion in the Super-G at the Winter Olympics in Beijing.
Some time ago her husband was jealous of Felix Neureuther.
