The drug found in Strasbourg was stored in a cellar from which
“emanated a strong smell of cannabis”
detected by a
“drug dog”
, specifies this same source. She adds that this premises had already been the subject of a search in January 2024. A little more than a kilogram of cannabis and 14,000 euros in cash were then seized.
20 million euros in new money seized since March
This Thursday, a 19-year-old man, the son of the owner of the cellar, was arrested. The individual is known to the courts. The search also allowed officials to seize weed and resin. In police custody, the teenager explained that he was an occasional user of herbal cannabis and that he had
“made the keys to the cellar available to one of his brothers”
. However, the man did not provide any information to
“identify the individuals he said he saw showing up daily in rental vehicles to collect boxes and bags
,” adds a source close to the case. The department's judicial police IT service (SIPJ) is continuing the investigation.
Nine XXL net market operations have taken place since their launch.
