15 classical music and jazz festivals not to be missed this spring

2024-04-20T14:13:02.497Z

The summer period does not have a festival monopoly. At the end of winter, a number of programs are offered to music lovers and often play a card more reasonable and better angled than the big routs of July and August. Here is our selection.

Classical, baroque, sacred

From Jean-Sébastien Bach to Olivier Greif, this is the program for the 28th edition of the Normandy festival, of which the very successful Yves Petit de Voize is the artistic director with conviction. A connoisseur's program distilling with essential delicacies from the repertoire and welcome (re)discoveries. In the Elie de Brignac room of the Arqana – where, out of season, yearlings and thoroughbreds parade among the most popular in the horse racing world, and which has been the subject of specific acoustic arrangements making it sound remarkably – will be displayed again this year tenors of chamber music to which the festival is entirely attached: the Hermès quartets, Arod, Hanson, the Arnold trio but also Julien Chauvin, Pierre and Théo Fouchenneret, Adam Laloum, Mi-Sa Yang, Yann Dubost , Ismaël Margain Justin Taylor or Raphaël Sévère. A chic and sporty spring classic.

Easter Festival, Deauville, until April 27
