Two young people who
sold drugs through the Telegram messaging platform
were detained after an intense investigation that lasted four months and discovered the routine with which the gang acted.
The meticulous and patient investigation, which began in January and ended in April, revealed the gang's modus operandi. From a discreet address in the Constitución neighborhood, a dealer awaited the arrival of his accomplice, in charge of making home deliveries.
A backpack

and a bicycle were his tools

five channels on the instant messaging application Telegram
, where they offered a varied catalog of prohibited substances, from marijuana to hallucinogenic mushrooms, including ecstasy, tussi, and LSD, among others.
They even offered vaping devices loaded with opiates, such as codeine and ketamine, and a 10-pack of chewable gummies infused with THC.
All available for purchase with modern payment methods such as cryptocurrencies, and with a door-to-door delivery service, which seemed like something out of a food distribution application.
"Taking drugs off the street is an everyday job," declared the Buenos Aires Minister of Security, Waldo Wolff, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between security forces and Justice to combat this scourge.
"That's what we do in the City, and thanks to this comprehensive operation today we arrested a gang that operated through Telegram and we removed kilos of drugs from our neighborhoods," added the official, highlighting the success of the operation.
Despite the obstacles that the social network presented in terms of security and privacy, the researchers continued and collected the necessary information. Then, with judicial authorization, they carried out two raids that resulted in the arrest of those involved.
One of them was sent to preventive detention, while another was placed under house arrest, following the guidelines of the prosecutor's office.
