Many people will be happy: From next week there will be a weekly market every Tuesday at the town hall in Steinebach.
Steinebach
- In the end, things happened very quickly: At their March meeting, Wörthsee's local councilors had unanimously approved the project initiated by cultural officer Juliane Seeliger-von Gemmingen, and now the premiere is already underway: next Tuesday, April 23rd, April 14th to At 6 p.m., a weekly market is scheduled to start on the town hall forecourt.
“We were able to win six stands,” said Juliane Seeliger yesterday. Together with FW local councilor Peter Hopmann, she campaigned for the project and is now all the happier that so many respected fierants will be taking part in the future from Tuesday. Including the “Biodandla”, which many people know from the Thursday market in Seefeld or from Saturdays in Herrsching. Fisch-Reeh from Geretsried is represented in the third generation with fresh fish, smoked fish and salads from our own production. The Cramer bakery offers organic wood-fired bread and pastries from Gauting - many people from Wörthse still know the bakery from its village shop days. Lilifer Sadak is there with delicatessen from the south; she has also been to the weekly market in Wörthsee before. The Ziegenbande is a company from Utting with its own goat cheese and cow cheese specialties from the Geifertshof village cheese dairy. The range also includes sausage specialties from the organic butchery Tagwerk - also a friend from Mark in Herrsching. La Salumeria could be on the market with Italian delicatessen and pasta, but according to Seeliger there is still no 100 percent commitment from the operator.
The cultural officer is also planning a stand just for the people of Wörthsee. “We imagine that clubs such as neighborhood help and others can alternately offer food, honey, flowers, etc. - without a stand fee,” reflects Seeliger, “and not yet from next week.”
The operators do not pay any stand fees for the time being. “We agreed that it would only be from September onwards.” It was very important to the community that the market was well received. “The community will therefore also put up information signs and display postcards,” announces Seeliger. There is also advertising on the website and in the local press. The municipality has concluded individual contracts with the stand operators.
“The weekday is ideal for the market because the administration and the library are also open that afternoon and there is therefore always a large number of visitors,” says Seeliger. On the other hand, there are not quite as many bathers during the week, “and therefore better chances of finding a parking space.” In addition, Tuesday has not yet been taken for many operators. The Fierants are obviously well connected with each other. “I was also contacted by several people because they had heard about the new market from someone else,” says Seeliger happily.
The season is scheduled to last until the end of October. “But anyone who would like to offer their goods in winter is welcome to do so.”
