Providing neutral, free and independent advice for energy renovation projects for individuals is the ambition of the National Housing Agency (ANAH) with its national France Rénov' tour which starts in Chartres (Eure-et -Dormouse) on Friday April 19. The whole challenge is to get households into a well-supported and secure journey. Two tiny houses, small wooden houses on wheels connected by a terrace, serve this traveling device. “It is complementary to the 577 France Rénov’ structures established in the country. We are going to the owners of the private park,” explains Valérie Mancret-Taylor, general director of ANAH. During the two days of each stage, visitors will be able to discover a fun exhibition “The House of Renovation” presenting the benefits of renovation, its main stages and discover the main materials used to insulate your home.

For households, it is above all an opportunity to better navigate the jungle of energy renovation. Benefiting from MaPrimeRénov' and MaPrimeAdapt' aid and finding the right craftsman is never easy. Some unscrupulous companies take advantage of this to deceive consumers. Specialized France Rénov' advisors will enlighten visitors to protect them from fraud. “It’s free advice that allows you to know what types of work are suitable for housing,” promises the general director. “The public service never takes action,” insists Valérie Mancret-Taylor. France Rénov' or ANAH will never ask you over the phone for your contact details, tax identifiers, RIB number, or a photo of the identity card. »
Beyond the scam, the main obstacle to carrying out an energy renovation is the inconvenience of the work. “We want to give confidence to households because doing work at home is complicated. We must accept the invasion of artisans. There will be noise and dust, this is not negligible, but in the end the home will emit less greenhouse gases and will reduce its energy bill,” assures the trained architect.
