The Bts group, active in the construction and management of biogas and biomethane plants, and eAb, a group that offers energy sustainability solutions, have signed a collaboration agreement to develop over 10 projects for the upgrading of existing plants and the construction of new proprietary plants (greenfield) of Bts in the biomethane sector and to cooperate on potential further projects.
Through this agreement, BTS and AB will contribute to the decarbonization process and to the achievement of the biomethane quotas established at national level with a total production estimated at approximately 30 million cubic meters per year on the 10 plants in which they will collaborate, with an annual saving of approximately 63 thousand tons of CO2 equivalent, which corresponds approximately to 2.2 million trees planted.
"Bts has chosen the best upgrading technology and the best service on the national and international market, that of AB, to be able to develop efficient and sustainable plants from an energy, economic and environmental point of view in the coming years. For Bts this would be an investment of around 90 million of euros for the development and construction of the plants", declared Franco Lusuriello, CEO of BTS.
