Heimstettener See: New landlords will start soon - further renovation plans are stalled

2024-04-16T07:42:18.459Z

Highlights: The plans to redesign Lake Heimtetten have stalled. After all: the restaurant by the lake has new tenants – and they want to open it soon. A new, year-round restaurant was to be built in the north of the lake. The Ayinger brewery wanted to tackle this with the innkeeper, who was active until recently. The changed general conditions of the last few years - Corona, construction costs, uncertain economic and personnel situation - meant that the new building project was not carried out.. The renovation of the path around the lake, which was actually planned until the state horticultural show, will also be postponed to the end of 2025. It is of course unfortunate that the dilapidated beer garden has just now been dismantled. But we couldn't start earlier. “We hope to be able to get going again from mid-May with new staff and inventory as well as a new beer garden and at least a small Bavarian menu at Vidschi's,” says Kristina Aschenbrenner.

The plans to redesign Lake Heimtetten have stalled. After all, the new tenants of the restaurant want to open the doors soon.

Heimstetten - What wasn't planned at Heimstettener See, Fiji, to make it more beautiful: a new restaurant with a beer garden on the north bank, new sewage pipes and toilets in the south, a football field, beach volleyball courts and great paths around the lake to the start of the lake State Garden Show. Almost the entire plan has now been changed or postponed. After all: the restaurant by the lake has new tenants – and they want to open it soon.

The owner of the Fidsche is the real estate company “CA Immo” and the “Recreation Area Association to Secure Supralocal Recreation Areas in the Districts Around Munich” has leased it. It covers 236,000 square meters of space, including 69,000 square meters of lawn. However, numerous improvements are necessary so that the lake remains an attractive recreational area for Kirchheim, Aschheim and Feldkirchen. The first planning for this was in 2020, construction work was supposed to start in 2022, the pandemic prevented this. A new concept followed; Clubs and associations, but above all citizens, submitted suggestions.

No new construction of the economy

Architect Didier Vancutsem presented this plan to the local councils in Kirchheim and Feldkirchen in January 2023: The recreational area association wanted to invest around one million euros, which it would pay for itself; there would be no costs for the three communities. They wanted to start in spring 2023 with the most urgent measure: new sewage pipes and toilet facilities on the south side of the lake. To date nothing has happened. According to Feldkirchen's mayor Andreas Janson (UWV), EON was unable to lay the necessary power supply for the pump. Christian Mohr from the recreational area association said that “the technical framework conditions that have not yet made implementation possible” need to be clarified.

A new, year-round restaurant was to be built in the north of the lake. The Ayinger brewery wanted to tackle this with the innkeeper, who was active until recently. The changed general conditions of the last few years - Corona, construction costs, uncertain economic and personnel situation - meant that the new building project was not carried out.

First renovate, then pour out

The new tenants of the existing restaurant have recently become Tobias and Kristina Aschenbrenner as well as Gregor Hauer, who already run the “Hecht und Sonne” restaurant on Lake Hollern. “We would have liked to open the door on the first warm weekend of the year, but we only took over the property two weeks ago, still have to carry out some maintenance and renovation work and do not yet have a bar license,” says Kristina Aschenbrenner. Until then, the restaurateurs are still looking for staff. Applications to hallo@vidschis.de.

So there will be no new building of the restaurant on Fiji. The renovation of the path around the lake, which was actually planned until the state horticultural show, will also be postponed to the end of 2025. Although citizens have complained several times about the many holes, especially large, almost impassable puddles, Christian Mohr from the recreational area association says: “We received no complaints last year. For organizational reasons, the path pavements will only be implemented in a late construction phase.”
