We are looking for Latin creatives capable of encapsulating the essence of the region. With the purpose of strengthening the identity of Latin America and the Caribbean, encompassing what makes it unique and generating new investment opportunities for our countries, CAF—the development bank of Latin America and the Caribbean, opens a public call to select the brand image of the region. The landscapes, the resilience of their communities, the history of their ancestors or the economic potential. This image will be the one that represents the continent on international stages and world-class events. And it will also act as a vehicle to promote alliances and develop initiatives that drive the growth of our countries and contribute to the region having a more relevant place in the global arena.

The multilateral bank seeks through this instrument, and through seven main axes, to have a greater presence on the international stage: from promoting interregional trade to betting on tourism. In this last sector, Latin America has a golden opportunity, since, prior to the pandemic, it provided 35% of employment in the Caribbean and one in ten jobs in the region, with 40% of people employed, women. And, although it has currently been able to recover to almost 90%, the growth estimates are very encouraging.

On the other hand, CAF seeks to grow exports. In 2020, Latin American exports represented 6% of world exports, according to ECLAC. But, without a doubt, the region's main driving force may be its contribution to climate change mitigation. This continent, which guards a quarter of the world's forests and 60% of its biodiversity, is being key in the fight against warming with nature-based solutions. And, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, up to 37% of climate change mitigation needs can be met with these actions.

If design, art, advertising and creativity are your thing, the opportunity has come to demonstrate your talent, creating the image that will proudly represent us to the entire world 🎨🌍.

The application process will be open from April 4 to 26. The five groups (of up to five people) of selected designers, creatives and publicists will have the opportunity to participate with all expenses paid in a workshop to be held in São Paulo, Brazil, from May 12 to 15, 2024.
