The Ismaninger Bauerntheater celebrates a premiere success with “Alone among Cows”; a sophisticated bride search for a farmer's son who has sworn off women.

Ismaning

– The community of Ismaning is cosmopolitan, colorful and lively. The guest from Bali, who is on stage at the spring performances of the Ismaninger Bauerntheater, embodies all of this. The group celebrated a brilliant premiere with the three-act play “Alone Among Cows” by Cornelia Willinger in front of 180 visitors.

After bad experiences, farmer's son no longer wants a woman in the house

This time the action takes place on a mountain farm that the parents would like to hand over to their son. He would just have to find a woman first, but he refuses to go through with the plan after bad experiences and no woman should come into his house again. That's why the parents make their son believe they need care in order to bring Palinda, who wants to get married, to the farm from Bali as a caregiver. In addition to the entertaining family drama, the audience gets special effects thanks to the international participation of the Bauerntheater. The potential bride from the other side of the world brings a lot with her with her cultural heritage and customs.

Director Richard Wanzinger proud of his team

After the premiere, director Richard Wanzinger was really proud of his team, who didn't put on the simplest piece on stage. The seven actors Ludwig Soller, Beate Attenberger, Edi Riedl, Laura Lustig, Birgit Weber-Thedy, Sophie Ismair and Nikolaus Kraus Jr. actually have leading roles across the board. Each performer has more than 60 appearances in one evening. “It’s nice to see that our piece is so well received by people,” said director Wanzinger later.

Stage as a special challenge

Newcomer Sophie Soller celebrated the only premiere in the ensemble as a prompter. An absolute challenge this time was the stage, which offers two images, in the farmhouse and in front of it at a fountain with a mountain panorama. “The stage was a real challenge and a balancing act for all of us,” said Richard Wanzinger. Various tasks had to be solved so that the guests from all 180 seats could clearly see what was happening in both areas of the stage. In addition, club craftsman Edi Warter and the actors were still busy in the two weeks before the premiere.

The Ismaninger Theater will be playing until April 27th, and some tickets are still available for the individual performances. These can be purchased at Household Goods Benz or at the box office.
