The weather is variable this Tuesday, marked overall by an alternation of showers and clearings. According to Météo France, precipitation will be greater in the north of the country than in the southern part. Temperatures will plummet compared to Monday in most areas.

This morning,

the south and east of the country are affected by precipitation. In the North and West the sky varies between clearings, sunshine and showers. This is a trailing sky in the wake of storm Pierrick. The wind blows in the north of France between 40 km/h and 50 km/h inland. Along the coasts, it can reach 90 km/h, which justifies maintaining an orange vigilance due to the risk of wave-submersion.

This afternoon,

the situation is changing little in the sky. Thinnings are gaining ground along the Mediterranean and in the center of the country. Showers are a little more numerous in the north of the country. The wind is becoming more widespread. It blows up to 50 km/h, even 60 km/h inland, a little more on the coasts.

Maximum temperatures range from around ten degrees to just under 15°C in the north of France. In the south of the country, they are around 7°C in Cantal and reach up to 18°C by the sea and 19°C in Corsica. In the North, they are between 3°C and 7°C below normal; in the South, they are average near the sea, generally lower by 4°C to 7°C-8°C elsewhere. The difference with the day before is sometimes enormous: it was up to nearly 26°C on Monday in Strasbourg (Bas-Rhin) compared to only 11°C expected this afternoon, where it will also be less hot than in the morning. In 24 hours, the difference will therefore be around fifteen degrees.

This evening and next night,

the sky is clearing more and more. The wind gradually weakens. A few showers remain in Normandy and the southwest quarter of the country.

In Île-de-France,

the morning is rather sunny despite the presence of a few clouds. The east of Seine-et-Marne is the most covered part of the region. In the afternoon, brief showers increase. Precipitation spreads out in the evening before disappearing completely during the night. Throughout the day, wind gusts between 45 km/h and 55 km/h occur. They only weaken in the evening.

Temperatures were expected to drop on Monday compared to Sunday. This was not ultimately the case, because the region was on the border of zones with falling and stable temperatures. The area with stable temperatures has expanded more than expected. This Tuesday, the drop will really take place and will be around ten degrees. After Monday's 23°C in Paris, it should only be 12°C-13°C maximum, as in the entire region. This is a level between 3°C and 4°C below average.
