Heavy rains are the cause. Météo France placed the Dordogne and Corrèze on orange flood alert this Saturday. The meteorological organization warned of a risk of “significant flooding of Isle upstream and Vézère upstream” in these two departments.
Vigicrues, the information service on flood risks, reported this Saturday morning in particular on "first overflows" around Isle upstream due to "continuous rain of a stormy nature and locally very heavy" which "fell in the night” from Friday to Saturday. These same two departments are also placed on orange flood alert for this Sunday.
