Hatred and agitation are the order of the day on Russian state TV. Especially in Vladimir Solovyov's show, things get really busy. A guest takes advantage of this.
Moscow – Propaganda has always been an important tool for Vladimir Putin. This increased many times over in the Ukraine war. Vladimir Sowolyov has proven to be Putin's most important voice. Hatred and incitement have been the order of the day in his programs on Russian state television for more than two years.
It's not always the moderator himself who talks himself into a rage. Often it is his guests who rumble and rage. That was the case again on the March 27 show. The military blogger Vladislav Schurygin who joined in took the opportunity to insult the people of Ukraine in the worst possible way. And Solovyov let him speak.
“These are animals”: Military blogger from Russia rages and rumbles about Ukraine on state TV
Shurygin made it clear with his first sentence what he thinks of the neighboring people: “Why do we treat animals who shell our cities as if we thought they were normal people?” He then suggested using cluster munitions and wiping out entire cities where women, children and parents of Ukrainian soldiers live. You can't treat them any differently. “They are animals.” Human things are alien to them.
In fact, Russia has increased air strikes on Ukraine again in recent days. On March 27th, the city of Kharkiv in northeastern Ukraine was targeted with aerial bombs by the Russian armed forces for the first time since 2022. According to local authorities, one person was killed and many others injured, including four children, in a total of two air strikes on Ukraine's second-largest city. Kiev has also been a frequent target of Russian attacks recently.

Solovyov allowed Shurygin to speak freely for almost a minute and a half. It wouldn't have been necessary to interrupt him. Even without his involvement, the propaganda on Russian state TV had reached a new low. Solovyov himself is usually responsible for such tirades. In his broadcast, he repeatedly called for the use of Russian nuclear weapons against NATO states. He recently threatened France with a nuclear strike.
