Highlights: The pharmaceutical startup - Software and App was born from five Sicilian students. The idea was born by Filippo Tavormina, son of pharmacists and law student in Rome, and Alessandro Gallo, management engineering student in Turin. The platform developed by the 5 young Sicilians enters the network with the pharmacy management system and in real time (with free registration) gives the user the availability of the drug, preferentially to the pharmacy closest to the place in which one is located. From early April, 4 pharmacies in Palermo and Taormina will also join the platform.

Often you go to the pharmacy and you don't find the medicine you're looking for available. So you have to book it and come back a second time to collect it. 5 young Sicilian university students under 25 thought about optimizing purchasing times and methods by creating 'Pharme.it', a startup launched in 2021 and only a few days ago online with two first pharmacies in Mazara del Vallo.

The four young people from Mazara del Vallo are Filippo Tavormina, Alessandro Gallo, Sofia Perrone and Nicola Amato, while the fifth, however, is Mario Gazzara from Catania. The idea was born by Filippo Tavormina, son of pharmacists and law student in Rome, and Alessandro Gallo, management engineering student in Turin. "Speaking with my parents, the fact emerged that the user often has difficulty accessing the drug immediately - explains Tavormina - this happens because it is missing from the stores and so the user has to reserve it and then return to the pharmacy to collect it". Hence the idea of starting the startup with an initial crowdfunding among friends then gradually supported by various Italian and foreign accelerators.

The platform developed by the 5 young Sicilians enters the network with the pharmacy management system and in real time (with free registration) gives the user the availability of the drug, preferentially to the pharmacy closest to the place in which one is located and then to others also in neighboring countries . From early April, 4 pharmacies in Palermo and Taormina will also join the platform and he assures that in the next few months there will already be 28 online in the cities of Naples, Rome, Milan, Mazaradel Vallo and Palermo.

"From statistical studies in Italy there are 1.5 million users every day who don't find the drug on the first try - says Filippo Tavormina - through the platform you can book and so by going to the pharmacy only once you can collect it directly".
