The Italian, number 3 in the world and
winner of 20 of the 21 matches he played in the year,
played at a very high level and won 6-2 and 6-1 against the Russian, who could not find a way to take the match in his favor and ended up resigning himself to the quality of the shots that came from the other side of the net.
In this way, Sinner reached his third final in Miami. In 2021 he lost in the definition with Hubert Hurkacz, last year Medvedev beat him and he hopes that 2024 will be the crowning year.
Medvedev lost only the fourth match of his career, winning three games, and continues the bad streak of the Italian, against whom he won the first six matches of his history, but lost the last five.
He will face
Alexander Zverev or Grigor Dimitrov,
the next to go out to Hard Rock Stadium.
