After 1929, 1955, 1974, 1984, 1999 and 2014, 2024 will be the seventh time that the Tölzer Gau shooting club “Gemütlichkeit” will be organizing the Gausschieten in Jachenau. This year also for a special occasion.y
Jachenauer Schützengesellschaft is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year
Jachenau - It's been a long time: in 2019, five years ago, the last time a district shooting took place in the Bad Tölz Schützengau, back then in Sachsenkam. Now, on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, the Schützengesellschaft (SG) “Gemütlichkeit” Jachenau has once again taken over the organization of the mammoth competition.
98th Gauschiessen: Jachenau expects up to 800 participants in the Schützenhaus
From April 2nd to 14th, up to 800 participants are expected at the stands in the Schützenhaus. However, master marksman Josef Orterer assured the district assembly: “It's not about setting a new participant record; For us, coming together is absolutely paramount.”
There is enough incentive to tackle the path to the Sonnental. In addition to cash prizes in the various age groups and target categories, king chains and non-cash prizes also await the most accurate athletes. First prize for the Gauscheibe with the air rifle, for example, is an air rifle donated by the community of Jachenau; First place in this ranking with the air pistol will be rewarded with an air pistol donated by the Raiffeisenbank in Oberland.
250 non-cash prizes to be won at the Jachenauer Gau Shooting: The company with the most participants gets 50 liters of beer
A total of 250 non-cash prizes are guaranteed. The company with the most participants will receive 50 liters of beer, the company with the most participants by April 7th will receive 30 liters of beer.
There are 22 train stalls available. In addition to the individual rankings, team championships are also excluded. Jachenau's mayor Nikolaus Rauchberger is the patron of the district shooting event.

The SG “Gemütlichkeit” Jachenau is hosting a local shooting competition for the sixth time. The first competition was held there in 1955. For the first time ever, a district rifle king was identified in Bad Heilbrunn in 1930. He came from Jachenau ten times; the same number of district kings are riflemen from Reichersbeuern.

The royal proclamation with prize distribution from the 98th district shooting will be on Sunday, April 21st, in the Schützenhaus. The line-up for the church procession is already at 9 a.m., followed by a celebratory service, procession and honoring the dead.
