In these times of the European campaign, is the Ukrainian capital becoming an obligatory stopover for French politicians? This weekend, no less than three French elected officials walked the streets of kyiv. Yaël Braun-Pivet, the president of the National Assembly, and Valérie Hayer, the head of the presidential majority list, were entitled in turn, Thursday, to a — quick — exchange with President Volodymyr Zelensky, while Anne Hidalgo, the mayor of Paris, met her counterpart, Vitali Klitschko, at Kiev city hall.
The day before, it was MEP Nathalie Loiseau (former head of the Renaissance list in 2019) who left the city after a stay of a few days. Last week, Raphaël Glucksmann, MEP and PS-Place publique candidate, who has, since the start of the war, made the trip to Kiev twice, had also planned to go there, before finally giving up for reasons diary.
