Defense Minister Yoav Galant's remarks/Ministry of Defense Communications
Defense Minister Yoav Galant held a situation assessment at the Northern Command today together with the commander of the command Major General Uri Gordin and the staff officers of the command. Gallant watched the assassination of the deputy commander of Hezbollah's rocket and missile unit, and received an overview of the operations being carried out in the intelligence complex to carry out additional countermeasures. Minister Gallant praised the operations being carried out in the field to protect the sector and attack against Hezbollah terrorists in the territory of Lebanon and Syria.
The minister said at the end of the assessment of the situation: "I arrived today at the Northern Command to closely examine another successful counterattack like the one done this morning against a Hezbollah commander. The results of the Northern Command are very impressive and the campaign is being conducted at a very high level. . This is true for Beirut, Baalbak, Tyre, Sidon, Nabatea and the entire width of the sector and it is also true for much more distant places like Damascus and more - wherever we need to act, we will act."

Gallant also said: "The person responsible for the serious damage in Lebanon is Hezbollah, and the person responsible for the many casualties in the Hezbollah organization is Nasrallah personally. They have over 320 terrorists killed, and we will exact a price for any action that comes out of Lebanon. We will increase the pace and expand the campaign - That's what I said this week in Washington to Defense Secretary Austin, that's what I said to the special envoy Amos Hochstein and others, and that's how I put the IDF in the Northern Command today."
