Correspondent Iran International channel Furia Zarati/Official website, Iran International
A journalist for the Iranian opposition channel "Iran International" was stabbed today (Friday) by unknown persons when he left his home in London - this is what the channel, which receives constant threats from the regime in Tehran, reported.
According to the channel, host Furia Zerati is suffering from stab wounds in many parts of his body. He was taken to hospital, but his condition is stable.
The London police opened an investigation into the attack, which happened a few months after an attempt by Tehran to assassinate two other journalists at the channel, which deals with the human rights situation in Iran and provides a platform for opponents of the Islamic Republic, was thwarted.
It was also reported that Britain's internal intelligence service, MI5, had been briefed on the incident.
