In Yvelines, a chapter in automobile history closes this Friday March 29 at Renault Flins. At noon, the last car, a Zoe, will leave the production lines at the historic site of the diamond brand. The factory inaugurated in 1952 and which had nearly 21,000 employees in the 1970s will have manufactured 19 million vehicles. The first (the JuvaQuatre, the 4 CV and the Frégate) had nothing to do with the cars in circulation today.

The site is now intended for the circular economy according to the wishes of Renault's general director, Luca de Meo. A decision taken in 2020 upon his arrival, to “save Flins”.
