A few months before the start of the Paris Olympic Games, Poland announced that it would send soldiers to help secure the competition. The Polish Minister of Defense declared that his country would send military reinforcements, while France is on maximum alert in the face of the threat of attacks.
“The Polish armed forces will join the international coalition set up by France to support the preparation and security of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games,” Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz said on X, without specifying the number of soldiers deployed. The staff will, according to him, include dog handlers to help detect explosives.
