The Iron Lady sits down for tea. The Eiffel Tower Operating Company (Sete) has joined forces with the French brand Dammann Frères to develop its own collection composed of two teas: one black called “Eiffel Tower” and the other green, “Jardin du Trocadéro.”
The first is “both gourmet and flowery, mixing the flavors of almond, vanilla and rose, a link between the perfumer and pastry chef know-how which contributes to the reputation and aura of Paris”, argues Dammann Frères. “Jardin du Trocadéro” tea is made from a “fruity” green tea from China, with notes of rhubarb, wild strawberry and strawberry.
“Being able to taste the Eiffel Tower through tea”
This collaboration makes it possible to “highlight excellent French know-how” rejoices Patrick Branco Ruivo, the general director of the Eiffel Tower operating company present at a breakfast of presentation, this Thursday morning, in the heights of the Eiffel Tower. For him, the Parisian monument, which attracts more than 6 million visitors each year, must be “a gastronomic destination”.

Partnering with Dammann Frères also makes it possible to promote French know-how internationally. “The idea is to be able to taste the Eiffel Tower through tea,” continues Patrick Branco Ruivo. This product is “slowly establishing itself in French gastronomy”, notes for his part the starred chef Thierry Marx, who supervises Madame Brasserie, on the first floor of the Iron Lady. A tea lover himself, the cook has imagined two signature desserts for the occasion featuring the flavors of the Dammann tea collection.
The products from the collection can be found exclusively in the boutiques on the first and second floors of the Eiffel Tower from this Friday, March 29, and in the Dammann Frères boutiques from April 15. The Eiffel Tower also plans to launch its online store in mid-May, with collections developed in collaboration with major French brands. Dammann Frères products will be offered there.
