Deputy Minister Avi Maoz, chairman of the Noam party, claimed this morning (Thursday) that the expected position of the legal adviser to the government, attorney Gali Beharev Miara, on the recruitment issue against the Yeshiva budgeting and in favor of the recruitment of yeshiva students is a result of Gideon Sa'ar's retirement from the government. Sa'ar was the Minister of Justice who appointed Beharev Miara to the position.
In an interview with "Kol Brama" radio, Maoz said: "The ombudsman took a political position. She is playing a dirty political game." Maoz testified that he read the letter of the government secretary in which he unfolded the chain of events in front of the legal counsel to the government. "Suddenly she turned around. When did she turn over? When Gideon Sa'ar started the retirement process. Suddenly she piles up difficulties. Gideon Sa'ar is her patron and she played a dirty political game. We made a mistake when we let Gideon Sa'ar retire. It was forbidden to let Gideon Sa'ar retire and they should have put him in the war cabinet."

Maoz was asked if there is no room for soul-searching in the conduct of the coalition itself, instead of blaming the legal adviser to the government or other parties, and replied: "Soul-searching should be done all the time. I think we are at a critical crossroads, but financial cuts were not a consideration in studying the Torah. The IDF does not want to at all The ultra-Orthodox and this whole campaign of equalizing the burden, stems only to overthrow the right-wing government led by Netanyahu."
